Find a healthy balance.
Geelong Rehabilitation Centre offers dietetics across both our Newcomb and Belmont locations. Our Dietitians are Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs), who are nutrition professionals with at least four years of university training accredited by the professional body Dietitians Australia (DA), meaning you can be assured of their commitment to best practice through ongoing training and education.
Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are the experts in food and nutrition, and the only allied health professionals recognised by Medicare to provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT). APDs work within multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose and recommend specific evidence-based dietary interventions for many health conditions such as diabetes, cardio-metabolic diseases, and gastrointestinal diseases and or disorders.
Our dietitians don’t apply a one-size-fits-all approach. As we all have different bodies and needs, our Accredited Practising Dietitians consider the whole person including their medical history, preferences, goals and lifestyles and nutritional needs to develop personalised eating plans for health conditions and provide nutrition counselling and support. Our dietitians empower individuals to better understand their conditions by translating complex nutrition science into easy-to-understand information and practical strategies.
Choosing an APD comes with a guarantee that your health and nutrition are in the best hands. Get in touch to find out more about GRC's dietitians.
