MASSAGE THERAPY & DRY NEEDLING
Remedial Massage is a treatment that manipulates the soft tissues of the body including movement for a specific therapeutic effect, rather than a general one. It uses relevant techniques, lubricants and movements according to the client’s need and response.
It involves the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation as well as pain and injury management.
Also known as 'myofascial trigger point release', dry needling uses either solid filiform needles (also referred to as acupuncture needles) or hollow-core hypodermic needles for therapy of muscle pain.
It is a safe and effective natural therapy used to treat a number of issues by providing pain relief and assisting in injury rehabilitation.
Here at GRC, we believe in a holistic approach to treatment and find that in a lot of cases, prescribed exercise in conjunction with massage therapy/dry needling, is an extremely successful rehabilitation combination.
