Carrick Dalton

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Carrick is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2018 at the University of Sydney before relocating down to Melbourne and completing a Masters of Clinical Exercise & Rehabilitation at Victoria University in 2021.

Before beginning work as an Exercise Physiologist, Carrick has had almost a decade's worth of experience working on gym floors which eventually led to roles in both high performance and sports science settings. He has previously worked on the Strength & Conditioning team for Melbourne United in the NBL as well as for Catapult Sports assisting teams in the AFL, NRL and NBL.

Prior to GRC, Carrick worked at a clinic specialising in Clinical Pilates and has since developed a passion for Clinical Reformer Pilates and loves implementing reformer based exercises into his prescription, he believes it is one of the best ways to functionally strengthen both the upper and lower body with its ability to improve core stability and function.

As well as reformer exercises Carrick likes to implement a variety of dynamic joint stability and mobility based exercises into his prescription with a particular interest in improving core muscle function, neuromuscular coordination, movement patterns and balance. He enjoys mixing traditional strength based training methods with a more functional approach to create a blended style of training and prescription.

Carrick has recently moved down to Geelong at the start of 2023 and when not in the clinic he enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, attempting to work on his golf at the driving range and spending time with his kelpie, Summer.
